Re-envisioning the office environment for a 100% hybrid staff.

Located in Boston’s Seaport, Finnegan wanted to make a cultural change as much as an aesthetic one. Fairly unique among law firms, their entire staff (the sole exception being the Partners) is 100% hybrid. For this reason, Finnegan asked VCA to focus our efforts on the “front-of-house” areas where people can more easily collaborate, gather, and socialize.

Having assigned desks stole quite a bit of Finnegan’s floor space, so we removed excess workstations, selected dual-occupant desks, and converted the office into a desk-hoteling system.

Their café, however, is the highlight of this office. The space is meant to be and feel open. Complete with a movable wall that opens into the reception area, this is a great space for small groups of hybrid workers or larger gatherings when the occasion calls for them.
