Drastic office reconfiguration focuses on comfort, warmth, and atmosphere.

The property management firm, Savills, wanted a drastic reconfiguration of their Boston office. Rather than a typical workplace, this client asked VCA to design “Savills Studio,” a space with a greater focus on comfort, warmth, and atmosphere; a home-office away from home. The space features no assigned seating, but rather a variety of work areas so staff can work in whatever way they know makes them most effective.

The library is one of the most distinctive features of this space. The art deco inspired lighting, plush leather sofa, fireplace, and the carved mantle combine to give this room an old-world charm that can’t be found in any other office in the city.
