Art collection shines thanks to thoughtfully selected palette.

Located in the Back Bay, this two-floor project offered VCA a unique opportunity to create two different spaces using the same palettes. The two floors are occupied by a wife-and-husband team who operate a capital management firm with different needs. However, both wanted to showcase their private art pieces throughout the office. Infusing these pieces throughout the office was a unique opportunity that challenged our designers to incorporate the art into their color scheme.
Our designers utilized gray and wood tones throughout both floors. However, the upper floor features more offices where visitors meet with staff. As such, our team used deeper wood tones for the desks and millwork finishes to match the solemnity with which this firm approaches their work. The inclusion of art pieces provides the space with vibrancy and personality. The lower floor sees fewer visitors and is a little more relaxed as a result. To fit this tone, our team used lighter shades of the color palette. Utilizing lighter grays and wood tones, this space allowed us to infuse more art throughout the space, providing the staff with a dynamic space to gather for meetings or as a retreat from their desks.
