A new look for an established law firm.

Sullivan & Worcester, a law firm that has been practicing for more than 80 years, wanted a change for their home-office in Boston. They needed an image their clients could be confident in, and an office that better supported their staff, both as employees and as people. To realize this goal, VCA envisioned the space’s client-facing areas differently than those reserved only for staff.

Drawing inspiration from the proverbial “white shoe” law firm, VCA incorporated luxury elements such as marble and hardwoods for client areas. However, accent pieces such as their chandelier and built-in fireplace break from the traditional and bring modern sensibilities into the office layout.

For the staff, Sullivan & Worcester wanted a space that fosters a sense of wellness. In their café, a space reserved for the staff, VCA installed a biophilia wall and had a little fun with color. The mixed greens provided the space to bring more color into the café, making it a bright, calming, and soothing space.
