VC is Growing!
VC is happy to introduce one of our newest designers, Caitlyn Flowers! Caitlyn hails from the space city of Houston, Texas. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Houston alongside a master’s in architecture from Universidad Catolica de Chile. A newer face around the office (she arrived here mid-September!), we’ve asked her a few questions to get to know both her and her design process a bit better.
How would you describe yourself? Your mind? Your process?
“Detail oriented, passionate, and independent. My process is very collaborative. I am always looking to others for opinions and advice.”
What aesthetics are you drawn to?
“A wide range really, just needs to be done right — (I’m) often drawn to using real materials in a raw and especially aged state.
What do you usually like to experiment with?
“I enjoy working on fine details when the schedule allows it. It’s tough to do considering the fast pace way of life in interiors.”
Any challenges you have experienced in one of the projects you have worked on with VC? How did you solve it? What did you learn from it?
“Working with furniture dealers is a totally new process for me…my colleagues have proven to be a great resource, so I’ve been leaning on them quite a bit as I adjust to the world of Interior Design.”
Excited to have ya, Caitlyn!
