Project Feature – Tremont on the Common
The Trustees and Management Team of Tremont on the Common were faced with the task of improving the common area experience and enlisted the help of VCA to give the space a much-needed update. The building, originally constructed in 1968, has 23 stories, 374 units, and an array of common areas shared among its residents.
Prior to the renovation, the lobby and corridors were consumed by deep wood paneling and dark grey floors, making a relatively large area feel small and confined. Based upon VCA’s visual observations and subsequent discussions with many stakeholders of the property, the design interventions are centered on the entrance experience starting at the front door.

All the major elements benefitting the residences received attention. The new Concierge Desk, seating areas, pool deck, and common floor corridors all were upgraded to create a Class A Residential Environment. Custom millwork, lighting fixtures, and carpet all contribute to the high-end hospitality appeal of the space.

As the building was occupied, phased construction was utilized. We collaborated with building management and general contractor, resulting in a space that homeowners can take pride in and feel the comfort when they enter Tremont on the Common.
