Office relocation re-examines how we work.

Pegasystems | Waltham, MA

After three previous project collaborations, VCA was excited to begin work on Pegasystems’ new office in Waltham, MA. This longtime client knew that shifting the majority of their workforce out of Cambridge and into a new campus in Waltham meant that many ideas about how they work would need to be re-examined. They wanted to create a magnet that attracted their teams back to the office. While VCA has worked with Pega before, this was the first project where we were addressing the challenges of post-pandemic work. Fortunately, Pega trusted VCA’s ability to dig into questions and solutions, just as VCA trusted Pega to understand their needs and those of their staff. We always enjoy working with Pega, but this project represented the pinnacle of collaboration.

As Pega wanted a space that would attract their staff across various departments, the programmatic needs were varied across the large footprint: conferencing space for both internal facing and external facing meetings, training spaces, video studios, secure customer service space, innovation and workshop space, and large gathering spaces were some of the unique requirements. The end result is a space that meets the needs of their staff while preserving Pega’s color palette and highlighting their company culture.
