Pegasystems, a long-time partner, challenges and grows our design practice. For their Salem, New Hampshire office, Pega aimed to stay true to their brand while innovating—something the company strives for as a whole, not just in their office design. VC knew the importance of Pega’s brand identity while turning the former NH satellite office into an emblem of the company’s next evolutionary phase. To help Pega determine their optimal plan VC developed scenarios to explore efficiencies in the future floor plan and showed various ratios of amenity space to open/closed offices, and informal/formal meeting areas. VC then presented a 3D walk-through of the space at a town-hall to build excitement. It was clear the design was truly Pega, while also unique to their location; the New Hampshire landscape and outdoor activities influenced playful moments for collaboration, recharging, and retreat. By involving employees in the change process, VC delivered a space that was made for Pega, the brand, and Pega, the people.
