Kensington Capital Holdings

VC designed the IIDA Award Winning office space at 177 Huntington Avenue for Kensington Capital Holdings (KCH). The intent was to create a modern space that complements the personality of the original building, but at the same time create a unique and open interior space that incorporates collaborative areas within a traditional work space. From the moment you step off the elevator, you are presented with a unique experience of an open 360-degree wrap-around wood portal. The traditional reception area is replaced by a simple greeting counter and an illuminated signage. A mini wood portal at the end of the space was created to tie both sides of the building together. A custom black wood boomerang sculpture separates the entry from the work environment. This sculpted wall twists and turns and then dynamically morphs into a bar counter and returns back onto itself. The result is a beautiful sculptural element that is both elegant in form and function.Read more
