Coravin – Bedford, MA
As a young company with a unique product, Coravin sought for their branding to be central to the design of their new office. At the heart of Coravin’s branding is their logo: a simplified version of their core product’s profile distilled into a graphic. As a nod to their logo, VC developed a floorplan that mimicked its shape; the open office plan features rows of desks along adjacent walls to form a V-shape; informal seating on either side of a singular column build out the shape of the logo where the column becomes the solitary dot at the center. Beyond this subtle incorporation of Coravin’s branding, there are environmental graphics throughout the office, such as privacy banding across the glass of focus and conference rooms, as well as a cork-backed product-display featuring the history of the company’s product right at reception. Environmental graphics are a cost effective design tool that weave the spaces together, create focal points, and allow for flexibility as the company continues to grow. Coravin’s brand is so thoroughly woven into the design of their space that no one could step foot in it and mistake their office for anyone else’s.
