With the first few snow storms behind us, we are happy to say that our projects are still pushing forward with no snow delays.
Paul Ng, Principal and Cora Visnick, Designer have been visiting the progress at Pegasystems, Inc. (Pega) in Cambridge, ma. You may recall that VC completed the 175,000 SF office for the technology based firm in 2012. Pega’s rapidly growing company has called for an expansion that will continue to foster the ideas presented in its previously designed space, such as impromptu meeting areas and a sense of community fostered by the flexible areas VC designed. The project team, including WB Engineers, Officeworks, and J. Calnan & Associates meet on site to coordinate the rapid construction, which doubles as a reunion for many of the members who were involved in the first build-out.
Visnick & Caulfield, led by Lead Designer Catherine Richards, recently teamed with a California based firm, Beck-Martin, to complete the project for Broadcom located at 200 Brickstone Square in Andover, MA.
The Natick Residence is progressing on the exterior and interior. Translucent glass garage doors have been installed, which add sleek detail to the entrance sequence. According to the design, a motion sensor detecting visitors will illuminate the garage from within, announcing the visitor as well as brightening the front façade of the home. As stone goes up on the exterior of the hearth, the boat house and shop across the driveway is being framed in perfect dialogue with the slope of the house, framing a driveway and landscape area that will continue to emerge as construction is completed.
Till next month!
