Happy Friday! Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine and glorious weather lately.
Here’s a summary of what has been going on in and out of the office at Visnick & Caulfield as we are wrapping up May:
Construction has begun in our offices here at VC. The back room has been cleared out and will soon be our new library room. The whole office will be renovated while maintaining productivity during the process. Very exciting and interesting at the same time. Designer Faegheh (shown above) is prepared and has her hard hat on for safety.
VC has been active in industry events. We went to the CoreNet campus event at Keurig. The panel discussion on their evolution to a campus environment was intriguing. There were organized tours of the offices. It was fun to see all the different collaboration and common areas throughout.
They even have a roof deck at their conference center. It will probably get a lot of use now that the warmer weather is here.

VC was at the 13th Annual NAIOP Bus Tour – Re/Vision: The Changing Suburban Landscape Bus Tour. Senior Principal Burt spoke about the transformation of the atrium at Reservoir Place. Boston Properties owns and operates two multi-tenant Class A office buildings at 1601 Trapelo Road in Waltham. (as shown below)
It was an exciting event of awards and the highly anticipated People’s Choice Award. Both John Hancock/Manulife projects were nominated. The John Hancock/Manulife TechLounge was in the small project category and the John Hancock/Manulife WorkSmart Program was in the large projects category.
The John Hancock/Manulife TechLounge is shown on the left and the John Hancock/Manulife WorkSmart Program is shown below.
This event was held at the ICA Boston this year and had a fantastic turnout with over 300 people in attendance. Congratulations to all the winners!
We also went to visit another project site to check on the progress … lots of good things happening! (shown below)
Associate Principal Paul and Designer Catherine met with the One Boston Place 26th Floor Common Corridor Redesign construction team for their weekly meeting. The ceiling details begin to show during construction with framing up and drywall started. Caroline Murphy of CBRE and Paul were in sync with their coordinated outfits!
Art is everywhere! Principal Fenglei discovered impromptu art during a visit to a job site.
Marilyn Raynard from MDC visited our offices recently to conduct a lunch and learn with some of their wall products. (shown below)
VC got out of the construction in the office and had cocktails with the crew from Structure Tone.
Elle is moving! We had a farewell party for Elle. She will be missed by all of us!
Enjoy the last weekend of May!
