Design(ers) @ Work: Early July

Welcome Paige & Cora!

Visnick & Caulfield is delighted to announce the addition of 2 new designers … Paige and Cora!  We are all thrilled to have theses two talented individuals join our family.  Their energetic and versatile attitude is infectious.

Coming from a small town in Cumberland, Rhode Island, Paige was eager to start her journey as an Interior Designer in Boston. She studied on the North Shore at Endicott College in Beverly, MA. While there, she studied in Florence, Italy for a semester, which expanded her admiration for art and architecture. Throughout her diverse experiences, Paige has developed a familiar exposure to people, culture, and design inside and outside of the industry. Her love and passion for design and the fun challenge of problem solving has driven her to design spaces that not only function to meet the client’s needs, but strives beyond to become unique and innovative. She loves being able to work in a field that allows her to express her creative side within the spaces she designs, and creating more positive interactions between people and their surrounding environment. Working in Boston allows Paige to explore a new city, while being within walking distance from her projects, and of course some great shopping and restaurants! Besides being a designer, Paige has a soft spot for dogs, enjoys travelling and spontaneous adventures, as well as being an avid coffee connoisseur.

Cora is thrilled to begin her career at Visnick & Caulfield. In May, Cora graduated from Cornell University as salutatorian of her Bachelor of Architecture class. In 2012, Cora was awarded a Fulbright Commission Summer Institute scholarship to study design at Nottingham Trent University in the UK, focusing on the influence of a city’s heritage on its architecture and design. Cora spent the Fall of 2013 studying abroad in Rome, Italy, where she travelled extensively through Europe, studying both architecture and photography. In the Fall of 2014, Cora travelled to India with a small group of Cornell architecture students, where she and her classmates designed prototypes for One Stop Crisis Centers as relief and prevention spaces against gender based violence. In her final year, Cora brought her design education back to Boston, siting her thesis project downtown as a network of isolative retreats within the city. Cora is excited to be back in Boston once more and to bring her architecture background to the VC family.

In the last few weeks, we’ve been busy working on some great projects, attending industry events and working alongside the office renovations.

Senior Associate Marilyn and Senior Associate Daniela recently attended the semi-annual ONE Global Design conference in Washington, DC where representatives from all partner firms got to brainstorm, learn and share insights with each other.

As you may recall, ONE Global Design is a network of firms who is capable of providing the personal attention and local expertise for projects nationally and internationally.  Even though the partner firms are located in many geographic regions within North America and beyond, we all share the same values and culture.

FACT: In our industry, ONE Global Design would be ranked in the Top 10 firms list.  We are 17 partner firms and over 370 interior design professionals strong.

As the temperatures heats up outside …. we are generating momentum here with all of our projects.

VMTurbo recently moved into their offices upstairs on the 8th Floor.  Principal Fenglei, Associate Principal Paul and Designer Faegheh visited to inspect the finished product.  Designer Cora captured some great photos during her site visit.  (as shown on left)

The 45,000 SF build out for the corporate headquarters at VMTurbo features an open office plan with different types of collaboration areas and an outdoor deck overlooking the heart of Back Bay.

Their beautiful deck has definitely been getting lots of use now that the summer is here!

Senior Associate Daniela snapped a few pictures during a site visit at Boston Capital last week after their move-in.

Here’s a sneak peek for our project at Standard Life.  Everything is progressing nicely – only about a month to go before they move-in.

VC attended a recent NAIOP event in downtown Boston. We got a nice view overlooking the city.downtown
