Design(ers) @ Work: Beginning Of May

Another great month has gone by with the VC team busy working through the spring months towards summer!

Broadview

The Broadview Ventures project is nearing completion with construction wrapping up and the client moving in. Features of the new space include demountable glass office fronts and a large organic light fixture above a marble-topped conference table. Sherry Niazmand, Principal, along with Rachel Wilson, Designer, worked closely with Broadview Ventures in order to provide them with a beautifully designed space with original furniture and finishes selections.

Zinc siding is being installed at the Natick Residence. This unique material contrasts with the other exterior finishes to round out the finish palette. On the inside we are looking at finishes too; with the client visiting our office to look at carpet, paint colors and wall coverings that will go into their home.

CYS

Our project for CYS Investments in Waltham is well underway. Senior Associate Daniela Maher and Designer Cora Visnick visited the site to check the progress before finishes begin. The office will feature curved spaces in the reception, a vaulted ceiling detail in the boardroom, and open views to the Cambridge Reservoir.

ICFF

Designer Faegheh Koohestani attended the ICFF and WantedDesign show last weekend at the Javits Convention Center in New York City. The ICFF Fair included more than 750-exhibitors from all points of the world to display new product lines, while WantedDesign has been a creative destination for designers across the globe by offering participants and visitors a unique and dynamic experience. The event also serves as a popular and inspiring meeting point for designers, manufacturers, buyers, distributors, craftsmen, students, design institutions and the press.

The 165,000 SF space in Javits Center was a mix of contemporary furniture, seating, carpet and flooring, lighting, materials and textiles and so much more. Faegheh was inspired by the newest design trends, especially from the European designers whose attention to detail and level of craftsmanship was unmatched by others.

GABBY

As this blog posting comes to an end so does our intern Gabby Porter’s time with us!  Although Gabby was here for only a short handful of weeks, she really pitched in across the office!  We want to wish Gabby the best of luck as she heads into her first year of college in the fall!
