Grace Santos, designer at Visnick & Caulfield

Grace Santos started with VC in February of 2020 as a designer. A native of Honduras, Grace moved to Massachusetts in 2010 to study for her Associates Degree in Art & Design from Mount Wachusett Community College, after which she transferred to Wentworth Institute of Technology for her bachelor’s degree. The big move was spurred on by images of Boston in TV & movies and her desire to experience our seasons.

Before VC, Grace thought that working alone was the best way to channel her creativity. Now that she has more experience, she appreciates the varying perspectives gained from working creatively with colleagues stating that, “two heads are better than one”.

Cooking for healthy eating

Healthy home prepared meals by Grace, that look like they came from the finest restaurants in Boston.

Currently, collaboration is a part of Grace’s day to day as she works with her VC teammates to provide Return-to-Work analysis and plans. It’s a challenging but rewarding experience. The biggest concern for clients right now is being able to maintain social distancing within the office. This is no easy task as it requires research, brainstorming, and understanding the fears and anxieties of employees who want to return. These challenges make projects like this extremely rewarding for Grace, because creating innovative spaces clients find comfortable is how she measures her success.

While working from home Grace is taking this time to connect with herself and her closest loved ones. Video chats with a family member or friend are a part of her nightly routine. She’s also creating beautiful drawings.

With more free time she’s been able to incorporate home workouts and develop healthy and eye-catching recipes into her days! You wouldn’t believe that these eye-catching dishes are thrown together with whatever she happens to have in her fridge. Her favorite so far? Zucchini noodles with shrimp.
