Design(ers) @ Work: Beginning of June
Summer in Boston is a favorite for Visnick & Caulfield, with our project teams being able to walk to some of their job sites and enjoy some of the nice weather.
Some VCers attended the IIDA of New England Art Uncorked event last week at District Hall in Boston, MA to help fundraise for Raw Art Works; whose mission is to ignite the desire to create and the confidence to succeed in underserved youth.
Jenna Boscio, Designer, recently visited the new office space for Martignetti Companies to inspect that their new backsplash was installed properly. The office is deep in construction and should be scheduled for completion this summer.
Lumenpulse celebrated the grand opening of their new Global Technology Center and US Sales Office in Boston, MA this month. The open house showcased some of Lumenpulse’s designs and was attended by Paige LaBreche, Designer, and our new Intern Lindsey Author.
The Natick Residence interiors are coming along smoothly. Reclaimed barn wood wraps walls in the living and kitchen areas, creating an intimate log-cabin feel at the lake. Large-scale glass pendants hang staggered over the island, creating a dramatic centerpiece for the double-height space.
The HMH communicating stair mock up is here! That means the construction of the stairs is almost ready to start. There are different materials that make up the body of the stair; wood treads, metal risers, glass railing. We are very excited for the start of the construction as it is the core of each floor and features a lot of graphics and “buzz” that is going to happen around these areas.
There is some pretty heavy construction going on at the John Hancock Conference Center. Drywall has been installed and painting begun with the carpet to be laid down shortly after. When the electrical has finished being tested for the new light fixtures, the ceiling panels will be installed.
