Workhuman, formerly Globoforce, embarked on their journey with VC to design their workplace in a way that suited their brand and created an environment that reflected the personalities of their employees. Workhuman is all about their “humans,” the people that inhabit their space day-to-day and thrive off of the culture that is manifested within. Environmental graphics are a big part of this design. Traditional offices are limited, whereas open office benching throughout was implemented to keep a consistent but dynamic feel throughout the space. A variety of open team collaboration options are offered throughout. Phone rooms are distributed to give the option for a more intimate meeting area and private conversations. To promote vertical connection, the reception and lunch room areas are purposely placed on different floors to encourage collaboration between the two floors. The lunch room is multi-functional and flexible, with a gaming area sectioned off by large felt semi-privacy panels that can be moved away to open up the space for company-wide gatherings and meetings. VC creatively and strategically used bold lines, patterns and colors throughout the space to bring the Workhuman brand into 3D in the space.
