Marsh & McLennan Companies, a world leading professional services firm in the areas of risk, strategy and people, engaged VC in the design of their new Boston office space. The space was designed around the idea of a “smart office” – featuring top of the line technology including integrated A/V design within meeting spaces, automated daylight control, and a white noise system. The open office space proudly boasts a collaborative work environment with three different style workstations throughout that act as “neighborhoods” for different departments, upholding a free-adressing workplace environment. Workstations purposefully line the perimeter of the space to ensure access to natural daylight when possible. Enclosed focus and meeting rooms appear in various areas of the space, giving users the opportunity to focus and work in a quiet environment. Marsh’s brand is accentuated by environmental graphics on each floor. Based around a “Boston” theme, popular street names and neighborhoods can be seen throughout, accompanied by abstract mapping that depicts each area of the city. Monochromatic tones effortlessly enhance pops of color in the office furniture and lighting fixtures.
