A Boston based leader in affordable housing real estate investments recently engaged Visnick & Caulfield to upgrade their existing space; which they have been occupying for over 20-years. With a limited budget, the team took the approach to re-design their client facing areas as well as their employee pantry, while doing a “refresh” to the open office space by adding new workstations and finishes. The firm completely changed their look to have a “boutique hotel” feel.
As you walk off the elevator and into the lobby space you are met with bold graphic wallpaper and crystal sconces. The dark ebony wood floors lead you into the space where you are greeted by a new 2-story stair, located behind reception, which has a floor to ceiling crystal light fixture.
The existing millwork remained but was painted vibrant white to provide a fresh new look. The 2-story stair connected the reception and client facing area to the employee pantry which is full of bold colors, a multitude of areas to recharge, and unique lighting that carries you from the pantry into the upper elevator lobby. In keeping with the existing millwork, Visnick & Caulfield kept a lot of the existing antique furniture but modernized them by repainting the wood frames and reupholstering them in bold colored fabric. These details truly help create a lasting first-impression for anyone that visits their newly designed space.
